THE PASTOR’S LIFE
Born in a God-fearing home,
Life indeed, is a blessing in a Preacher’s room.
Welcomed with loving arms opened wide,
Breathed-in the wonderful Words of Life
Dedicated to the Master
His borrowed life, his parents brought.
God through the parents told,
God to the individual called,
God’s divine testimony he was to show forth.
Time flies…the child grew.
Time flies… the young man wandered through life.
Existing yet ever struggling.
As a helpless prey in attack with his predator roaring;
At the brink of death, the young man’s life wrestled groping.
As a brave firefighter dares to rescue,
Pulling a precious life out from the fire;
So does a PRAY-ER bends his heart in earnest trust,
Pleading for his son’s eternity is a joyful must.
As the struggling young man cries for help,
The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
And so the young man was calmed,
Truly, his Dad’s prayer was a life-restoring balm.
Today, not merely existing,
The renewed man with a purpose LIVING;
Still struggling! Yes he is,
But together with his Savior;
He found his life worth living.
This man learned to preach.
Taught even others how to reach
Dying souls with the Gospel to receive.
This man, unworthy as he is,
Reached by His grace;
Continues to live for Jesus,
Reaching the lost at any cost,
FOR GOD’S GLORY to the end his utmost!
